Africa’s Newest Country – South Sudanese In Arizona Celebrate

July 9 gave birth to the newest country in Africa, South Sudan, which gained its independence from the North. As millions celebrated the liberation on the East African soil, those in the diaspora also gathered to rejoice with family and friends. The state of Arizona has one of the largest South Sudanese communities in the United States. Christopher Zambakari captured some moments:
