Kenya: One Killed In Grenade Attack On Nairobi Church – Police

At least one person was killed and several injured in an explosion at a church in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi.

Police said the blast at God’s House of Miracle church near the city centre was caused by a grenade.

The church blast Sunday follows a U.S. embassy warning that a terror attack on prominent government buildings and hotels in Nairobi could be imminent.

There’s been a series of grenade attacks in Kenya since the government sent troops into neighbouring Somalia last year to combat Islamist militants of Al-Shabaab.

  1. Kenya has become insecure because of the recent increase of grenade attacks in various parts of the country. People nowadays don’t feel safe in public places. The security intelligence unit should put more effort to fight, stop and prevent these kinds of attacks.
