  8. I cried that day. I was on my bed in DR-Congo and i am seeing this bad situation like a vision. What have we done wrong to our leaders due to corruptions and their i don’t care attitudes. A complete family perished just like that. Aha, God help us in Nigeria. Our leaders and Good Men of God, pray for Nigeria our mother land. A lot of bloodshed this year only is too much.

May the soul of the departed ones rest in peace and God console the families of the victims.

  16. Too young to die nigerians, out of our carelessness many people die on the roads, on the see, at home, in churches and even in the air(Aircraft crying all over Nigeria on Sunday , 3rd June 2012. God should console tha families that lost their dear ones.
Nigeria is our country where can we run to? Except God< No man can save us.

  17. This indeed calls for the understanding to everyone that life is all about come and go (death or life) and therefore the most important thing is to make the life safe in which ever way (death or life) in Christ Jesus. Thia is simply to receive Christ as Lord and a personal saviour in confession of ones sins as this is most importantly to make the life gainful in the bosom of the lord our God whether death or life, and as urgent as possible even now before it is too late. May God only console the bereaved and give them the fortitude to bear this lost in Jesus Name.

  18. MAY GOD CONSOLE THE BEREAVED AND GIVE THEM THE FORTITUDE TO BEAR THE LOST, AMEN!

  19. OH! WHAT A LIFE! MAY THE LORD HAVE MERCY, COMFORT THE BEREAVED AND ACCEPT THE SOUL OF THE VICTIMS, AMEN!

On the government side,I really do not think revoking the lincense of Dana airlines is enough..if it is true the aircraft was faulty before it was flown on that iifated journey, the owners should be charged for mass murder!

  42. I cannot stop the tears in my eyes – OMG !!!

  43. Nigeria is a country that do not believe in doing things right. This is fruit of corruption and ineptitude.

  46. •When we lose someone we love, it seems that time stands still.
•What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.
•Please accept my heartfelt sympathy on the passing of your grandmother.
•To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.
•God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered “Come to Me.” With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
•You have my sincere condolences on the loss of your father.
•We are deeply saddened by your loss. We will cherish the memories of the times we spent together. We are with you during this time of grief.
•Although it’s difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, May looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow.
•Life is eternal, and love is immortal, and death is only a horizon; and a horizon is nothing. Save the limit of our sight.
The above-mentioned messages of condolence and sympathy may not heal a broken heart, but can definitely give your loved one strength to lay the foundation to a healthy, prosperous future. They will realize that you are sorry for the loss, and want to stand by their side in this moment of need, even if you use some expressions of sympathy.Yet,we can be a little courteous to avoid repitations.May their souls Rest n Peace.

Imagine some stupid people calling theirself indian, they are only after money, they are not after the safety of our citizens and our govt are there looking, can indian operate airline in usa or uk with 22yrs old plane? Govt should stand up and take up with their responsibilities. May the dead rest with the LORD & GOD should comfort their families

  73. THIS IS D BIGGEST TRAGEDY OF THE YEAR,MAY THERE GENTLE
SOULS REST IN PERFECT PEACE AND MAY GOD FORTIFY THERI FAMILIES.

  74. Shame on Nigeria and the government at all levels. We cannot even boast of a single national airline whether local or international. What business does a third world country like India have to operate airlines in our nation. Air France will only spray insectides when your citizens connect flight to Nigeria or leaving Nigeria to France. British Airways will treat your citizens like trash. Flight tickets to Nigeria are higher evev when compared to going to the uttermost part of the world. Our GOVERNMENT is doing nothing other amassing wealth for generations yet unborn, carting our wealth into foreign banks and acquiring properties in Dubai and other countries, forgetting that whoever owns the land owns what is on it. You have made your fellow citizens widows and widowers, orphans and childless. You will not be held blameless. It is not enough to observe National Day(s) of mourning. DO SOMETHING POSITIVE. May the good Lord confort all that are grieving for theie loss in illfated air crash in Lagos.

  75. This is so sad, the pictures made it rel and @d same time unimaginable, May there gentle souls rest in perfect peace& may the almighty God grant the relatives grace& strength to bear the loss.

  76. God the great comforter be with them at this moment they need u most

  77. This is a very sad one for the nation. In M̶̲̥̅γ̲̣̣̥ opinion, the casualty rate of this was advanced by lack of basic rescue α̲̅πϑ emergency facilities. I was at the site of the crash Whƺrƺ I met police officers α̲̅πϑ even ambulances but were rendered useless not because of d crowd but ‘cos they lacked the necessary equipment to work in that kind of a situation. We actually expected fire fighters to come with their gas masks n somethin to butcher the plane to rescue some people. I’m very sure it was d flame or later burning that killed most people not the initial crash-landing. It is really saddening. May their gentle souls be granted rest α̲̅πϑ their families the fortitude to bear the great loss.

  78. infact all these happenings are beyond ordinary. Father with your Blood on the cross of calvary pls come and HEAL the CURSE on our land NIGERIA. IJN

  79. shehu kada obanyiro

I would like 2 advise those dt Almighty God hv given d position to govern or tak vital decisions on behalve of d people 2 do so with d fear of God bearing in mind dt we would all disappear frm dis earth one day just as these guys departed. Our life is transient n we would all go the same way we came into d world leaving all dt we’ve acquired. A legacy dt affects peoples live positively is all dt lives long after we’ve gone. May the good God we serve comfort all those who lost their relatives in the crash and their gentle soul rest in perfect peace with the Lord. And may Almighty God avert dis type of disaster in future by touching d hearts of those concerned with issues dt will waste d lives of our people to do just the right thing at d appropriate time. Please may all those who lost their loved ones accept my deepest heart felt symphathy.I love you all and God bless you all.

  80. Abolanle kamal kuku

From Allah we come & to him alone we shall return Rip.

  81. rakiya mohammed

I learnt over the news that an investigation is on to find out what caused the crash bet me there will be no investigation and there will be no persecution or correction but i just pray in this case i can be proved wrong. pls those in power should start being selfish and bcome selfless how long more can we continue to be the world’s most corrupt nation? we need a change i know we can do it if we set our hearts at it change change change thats what we need REFORMATION.

  82. oluwalana olubunmi

This is sad.let our government stand to their responsibility.this shows that they have not been doing anything.Again the country paid them for the job but they are not doing anything.it is time to rise up for your responsibility. Now imagine if any of those plane crash victims are your children or your family.remember judgement is coming .people in government do something now if not it will come to your turn tommorrow.Almighty God is watching

  83. The pictures makes the pain more real. Whether this should serve as wake up call to Nigerian Govt to review the license of airline operators in the country or not. Most of the airlines especially the domestic ones are flying casket, see how innocent lives were wasted because of greed for money because it is well understood that the management of DANA knew that the aircraft was not in order and they still use it to convey human being. The investigation of this crash should be made public and if the operator of the airline is found guilty, let them face the full wrought of law. To the families affected we mourn with and may the Almighty God give you the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. May their souls Rest In Peace Amen.

  84. Rosemary Thomas

It is the mother of tragedies. It is a colossal lost.May their souls rest in profound peace.Nigerians, may we not experience dis sort of tragedy again.

  85. shehu kada obanyiro

We hv lost a lot of VIPs yet we’ve not awoken frm our slumber. Imagine using a 22yrs old plane 4 a new business, especially dt of flying. Even if u properly maintain d engines, are d other parts of d plane not metals dt deteriorate with ageing? Why did d initial owners dispose of it? Bc they hv used d better part of the shelf live! Can’t we as a people use new euipments? Some will talk in terms of cost but why not give people d opportunity 2 make their choices when it comes 2 safety. I 4 one will not fly a 22-yr-old plane if I hv an alternative of a new air craft. We hv as a nationrelegated our people to the background due 2 corruptn .I must at dis juncture cofess I don’t like commenting on public issues bc of the socio-economic n political decadence of our society. But in this, my heart is deeply touched, especially by d pics of those families dt perished.

  86. Okey Nwachukwu

….But in all these can those in leadership positions in this country learn something worthwhile? Will they not show signs of sympathy for the first few days and continue with their business as usual? Can our NCAA and other regulatory bodies for once resolve to stamp their feet and do something right? Seeing the innocent faces of the victims and the anguish and sorrow their families and the entire country are going through can we for once resolve be decisive on issues that border on scared lives of our country mwn and women. The country has sunk so deep that Lebanese and Indians and all sorts of nationals are the type of expatriates that roam the streets of Nigeria.Oh God have mercy on my country in distress!!

  87. osamde ngozi abosede

may God Almighty console d love ones they left behind nd takecake of them. May their soul rest in perfect peace, AMEN.

  88. God pls console this folks, all of dem and punish Dana airline for playing games with the lives u created!!!

  89. Ths is a big blow to Nigerians. Hw can d Indians come to Nigeria 2 shed our blood. Smthn must be done immdtly. Its nt a matter of gettng to d root of ds alone as it is often said or calling them to order but proclaiming judment on them.

  90. its so sad and it hurts may there soul rest in peace

  91. prince mbaka samuel

2d relatives of d victims, is jst lik a dream dat 1 will wake up 4rm. is lik a fallacy storyline. but d fact remains dat, all dis young handsom/beautiful men/ladies are gone nd wil never come back again. all we need do is to pray 4 devine comfort to d deceased families. and also d relevant groups/org shud within dea capacity compel nd aswel propel d federal govt. to do justice 2dis incidence nd aswel take decisive measure to ameliorate d cries nd sufferings of d deceased families. may d sole of the departed find rest in d bossom of d lord.

  92. Owwwwww…..So painful

  93. Not just this…….people should also show sympathy for road accident victims, bomb blasts and so on……may the good Lord give the departed eternal rest

  94. edirin okoro

I cried….I shed tears of sadness in my heart..would this be called wickedness or untenable act??gosh….this I can’t just imagine or think abt as I am here..

  95. Mike Asebieko

Such is life! Subs……..innocent people, why. Afi k’olorun d’awo ibi duro ni o!

  96. I wonder if the regulatory agencies on aviation pay adequate attention to basic SOP(standard operating procedure). How can a plane land and take off without routine maintenance check.Random checks should be carried out on airline operators maintenance records by which ever agency of the aviation ministry is responsible for such and appropriate santions applied on defaulting airlines. Its only in Naija such happen and end in reports that are never acted on.May the souls of all the departed rest in peace,Amin.

  97. Rosemary Thomas

This is the mother of tragedies. It is a colossal loss.May their gentle souls rest in profound peace.Nigerians, may we not have a re-occurrence of dis sort in Jesus name.

  98. God have mercy on us. My fellow Nigerians, let us all embrace Christ and accept him into our lives, only he can give us the hope that our Leaders cannot give us. Embrace Christ today and enjoy JOY unspeakable.

  99. Peter Anietie

Well i have Nothing 2 say, that should grant their gentle soul Amen. Now is left 4 us 2 ament our ways n follow God in spirit n soul , help me God, do not allow me 2 suffer here on earth, n in again in hell help me God. Pls Save Me.

  100. What a tragedy, my heart bleeds! what is life? Lord teach us to number our days and live every minute we have like there’s no other. May God grant the families of the victims the fortitude to bear this great. Eternal rest grant unto the victims o Lord.

    Have mercy on Nigeria Lord.

  101. Nuhu Rooney Ibrahim

My pple this hapened so that those that are far from God will naw remember and come back to him, is not only on plane crash that people due died, what supose 2 be in ur mind is that Jesus is coming back anytime from naw just get prepared and quit from eniquity and accept jesus as ur personal Lord and sevious, b/cos except through jesus no one will see God.

  102. Can’t stop crying. Oh God.

  103. I join Nigeria to mourn for the lives of those who died at the Lagos plane crash and pray for emotional healing for their families. The leaders must be held accountable for poor aviation services and outcomes in Nigeria, and for those that perished as a result – for as it is written: Revelation 6:10 ‘They cried out with a loud voice, “How long, Sovereign Master, holy and true, before you judge those who live on the earth and avenge our blood?”

Revelation 6:10 ‘They cried out with a loud voice, “How long, Sovereign Master, holy and true, before you judge those who live on the earth and avenge our blood?”

Revelation 7:9-17 ‘After these things I looked, and here was an enormous crowd that no one could count, made up of persons from every nation, tribe, people, and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb dressed in long white robes, and with palm branches in their hands. 10 They were shouting out in a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God, to the one seated on the throne, and to the Lamb!” 11 And all the angels stood there in a circle around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures, and they threw themselves down with their faces to the ground before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying, “Amen! Praise and glory, and wisdom and thanksgiving, and honor and power and strength be to our God forever and ever. Amen!” 13 Then one of the elders asked me, “These dressed in long white robes – who are they and where have they come from?” 14 So I said to him, “My lord, you know the answer.” Then he said to me, “These are the ones who have come out of the great tribulation. They have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb! 15 For this reason they are before the throne of God, and they serve him day and night in his temple, and the one seated on the throne will shelter them. 16 They will never go hungry or be thirsty again, and the sun will not beat down on them, nor any burning heat, 17 because the Lamb in the middle of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to springs of living water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

  104. Ereseh faith

If i can feel this much tears at seeing these youthful And lifely pples pics, how much more can d families Ache…God this is so sad.I pray they all find enternal Rest in God’s bossom…But seriously how prepared are we cos Christ comes like a thief in d night when we least expects him.

  105. If we shuld be truthful 2 our selves den we will knw dat nigeria has d highest plane crash in africa, nd d reasons are : airline operators byes old nd reforbished planes whose engins are week nd do we kwn d painfull part those criminals dat parads dem selves as our leaders sees nothing wrong with dat or shuld i call it neglet thus killing beautiful nigerians on every 6months, we say we have an aviation minister who seats nd watch pple die, my good pple of nigeria in evry 6mnths in nigeria we always experience :( one bad news or the other, the truth is dat 98% of dis monster;>leaders belongs to one dreded cult(s) or another, we innocent:| nigerians are only sacrificial lambs

  106. may God comfort the families of these oones, and grant the dead eternal rest.

  107. Bolarin Aliyu

It is a sad event & another event for us to learn. However,I found it very hard to understand how long Nigerian will learn from the past THEIR past mistake or event. For instance, It was reported that DANA airline had technical problem 3 weeks ago.(it was stated in many Nigerian dailies that Dana airline almost crash 3 week ago). Despite the said TECHNICAL problem, These criminals go ahead & use the same airline to fly Nigerian from Abuja to Lagos) Now,what did you want me to say about the Airline or the dead pple or the relation. it is a painful experience created by the so-call engineers & NIGERIA IN GENERAL.(I said Nigeria in general because it is our culture to cry & pray to God when there is an incident ,after the episode we forget about the past event). How many year do we want to turn over a new leaf,e.g what happen after ,sosoliso ,ADC etc.see how Nigeria issue became a laughing matter in the whole world? Now we are talking about pple on plane what about inside their house? double tragedy???. how many years do we want to waste our pple, the funny things about Nigerian is that you will hear Jonathan & Fashola mourning todya ,they will tell you that they will conduct THEIR USUAL investigation but what will happen, NOTHING ,it will go & die down like what happen during obasanjo era.Basically ,Nigeria lack basic needs in all ramification, electricity, water corporation, etc, what is next solution: Boko Haram,Massob MEN?D ,opc, biafra, why is it Nigeria everytime, what is actually wrong with african race?,is it a curse or madness. No love ,No unity,No progress, Poverty galoooooo, look at nigerian newspaper u hardly read good news.(little is enough for the wise). Only God know where we are heading to, I pray for those who lost their family &others.

  108. I hope our govt. will learn to put things in order instead of embezzling public funds that is meant to provide good living for Nigerians. The roads are terribly bad with armed robbers on the highways, here is the airline, is the water way safe? God really bless us in this country but few people just decide not to make things work better due to their selfish interest, God will surely expose them and they will reap what they have sown. If an amount of money is alocated to repair a road, you’ll only see it on paper that the road has been constructed, God will surely purnish the evil men in this country.

  109. May the Almighty God grant eternal rest to the departed souls as well as console their loved ones.
I insist that the management of Dana Airline should be charged with Manslaughter or Murder. Until they are made a scapegoat others would not learn!

  110. What a tragedy!!!!!!! It is an unfortunate incident. May the Lord grant the repose of their souls.

LETS REJECT ALL DIS SCRAP ELEMENTS OF INFRASTRUCTURE, THEY ARE NOT HELPING US AT ALL. OH NIGERIA, WHEN WHEN WHEN WILL WE DESIRE N ACTUALISE DEVELOPMENT SO DAT WE CAN INDEED B D GIANT OF AFRICA, OTHER COUNTRY DAT ARE LESS THAN UR HAVE OVERTAKEN US IN DEVELOPMENT, WE RE STILL CRYING LIKE A BABY FOR 50YRS, OH NIGERIA, EVEN D AIR LAND N SEA ARE CRYING FOR US 2 COME BACK TO OUR SENSES N MOVE DIS NATION TO WHERE WE OUGHT TO B.NIGERIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, I WEEP N CRY FOR EVERYONE, CITIZEN, GOVT N ALL N SUNDRY TO AWAKE 2 DIS LIGHT. 152. There is reason for everything. who are we to question God? but i must say this the major challenges we face in this country. my country your country (Nigeria) is corruption. why would a responsible Govt keep amending good policies that will affect the citizens of this country positively. what are the standard organization of nigeria doing. who head the organization, what are their functions. it really time for us as a country to love one another. remember whatever you do in this life God is watching u. its high time we turn to God and ask forgiviness, ask for his mercy. it really so sad just like about 153 Nigerian just perish by fire via airplane crash. The rich pple on that plane didn’t know it would be their last.
The sexy babes didn’t know it was their last as they posed for pictures and paste it on their dp and Fb wall.
The ones who were fortunate to b boarding a plane for d first time in their lives didn’t know it wuld b their first and d last time.
Where is that guy thinking of how to make ends meet?
Where is that babe who wants to get married soon?
Where are the singles who are worried about tying the knots?
Where are the men whose thought is on how to return to work today and sign dat contracts that would fetch them millions?
Where are those ones who owns houses in Abuja?
Where are those who took a girlfriend to Abuja to enjoy the weekend leaving their wives at home with d kids?
Where are those who were in Abuja for flings with their sugar daddies or sugar mommies?
And what about the innocent kids?
What about those in their homes on a Sunday afternoon after returning from church?
Spending time with their families, already ironed their clothes for today work or school?
What about that girl or boy who went to their neighbors house to watch films?
What about those people in the church that were bombed?
What I’m saying here is dis, It could have been you or me.
    Life is vanity.
Live your today like there’s no tomorrow.
Love, forgive and appreciate one another.
Those pple don’t have 2 heads.
If someone tell them they might die yesterday they wouldn’t have boarded dat plane.
Am yet to see someone who knows tomorrow.
May d souls of d deceased continue to Rest in peace,ki la fi san ju awon ti ku ti pa. Merciful God it is your grace. Plz Hav mercy oh Lord

  162. BBC had earlier last week reported about the same aircraft that crashed Nigerians at the beginning of this week, requested for emergency landing due to technical fault(s) and this was the same aircraft used again to crashed Nigerians at the beginning of the followed week. What a shame to The Nigeria Airline Authority and A shame to the Nigeria Government for no implementation and enforcement of rules and regulations which they continually amend.

  172. Why should a plane which according to report was suffering from engine problem be allowed to fly? Expired planes that are disallowed from flying in europe are imported into the country as weapons of mass destruction!!! So many of them as old as over 21yrs still flying!! Were they not inspected by appropriate authority? The authority value the bribe to approve a junk plane to fly than the safety of the masses. Corruption is the
root cause!!! Avaition authority and DANA should be presecuted! I am sad… Gov should also take decisive action to scrutinized all planes in the various airlines to avoid other disasters.

May they all R.I.P.

  177. mohammed olalekan

it is sad that nearly all fatal air crashes that has happened on Nigeria soil could be averted if the proper safety standards had been adhered to strictly.this is certainly no time for rhetoric s.investigations should be conducted and proper punishments should be meted out anyone found wanting.people have been unjustly sent to early graves.its so sad.may their souls find repose with the Lord.

  178. May d Lord give their family and luv ones d fortitude to bear d loss and God should grand d deceasd aljana fidaus! Amin

    • It was a sadden incident and irreversible. It shocked me when i heard about the whole family that perished in d crash. May God console the family. It is high time Nigeria govt. to see to the affairs of our airlines and make it dependable. ‘cos of this crash many people would have crucial meeting that involves travelling by air would have been cancelled disturbing the agenda of the citizens. All the planes should be properly inspected before they take off from the ports. Also, the minitry of aviation have a lot to do in this regard to seek proper and adequate maintainance of the commercial planes in the ports by the owner. What is our government doing in providing good planes for our ports to perform well, majority of the available ones are private airlines. We must inprove on our systems in other to avoid tragedy like this in the future. Once again, i sincerely share my synpathy with the deseased family. May their souls rest in peace. Amen.

It could happen to anyone at anytime, in case you think they were not smart, they were probably smarter than you and I…the only thing left for us to do is not to live our life in fear but to support the families everyway we can and live our own lives everyday as if it is our very last because one day it will be! 211. This is sad. I hope the federal govt will 4 d first time bring succour to the families of the victims by taking the MD of Dana Airline to court for killing Nigerians. This is no accident but murder. I hope justice is done in this case.

    • MD Dana Airline has stakeholders and most of them are Nigerians. Besides, why would Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority allow them to fly a plane that is in bad condition?

      • rakiya mohammed

The blood of every one who has lost their lives as a result of this plane crash is upon everyone in power who should hace said no to putting that dead trap if a planeto do business in nigeria these useless God forsaken few take baabribe and refuse to disclse faults i wonder why this kora, lebanese peoplpeople floading nigeria are allowed to take advantage of us and our country¿? its high time now for these ones to stop selling our country and show some decency.

    • @adeola.. ur just a big fool!! how will u say that it was murder?
      redundant fuck!

      • You are the big fool, it obviously was a murderous act, because if you read the history of this particular plane, it had a lot of major problems for years even before it was bought and brought into bigeria, the plane was a lemon and it had problems after as well.

      • @ huge ain’t you the biggest fool for thinking that will not one day be possible.Who will think what happen recently in Libya be possible if libyans were all fools like you!

  212. Seeing photos makes it more than just a figure… when you see the faces of the victims and the faces of the loved ones, it makes it that much harder.
