U.S. Celebrates 236th Independence Day

US flag The United States of America, USA, celebrates its independence day today (July 4, 2012). Its a federal holiday commemorating the independence of the USA from the Kingdom of Great Britain on July 4,1776.

Each year on July 4, Americans celebrate their freedom and independence with barbecues, picnics, and family gatherings.
