Nigeria is not the first country to experience terror – Jonathan on Aljazeera (VIDEO)

Jonathan on Aljazeera Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan says rebels in Mali must be contained, or it could threaten the security of Africa.

Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Jonathan also tells Al Jazeera’s Stephen Cole that there is a direct link between the Malian rebels and the Boko Haram rebel group in his country.

In the same interview, Jonathan also calls for the diversification of the Nigerian economy, which he says has become reliant on oil.

“Oil brought money to Nigeria, but oil also brought problem to Nigeria,” he says, adding that his country has “abandoned agriculture, which is our primary source of income.”
