Anti-corruption fight: Bill for confiscation, forfeiture of stolen money passes 2nd reading


A bill for confiscation, forfeiture and management of proceeds of crime passed second reading on Wednesday in the Nigerian Senate.

Senate President Bukola Saraki's aide, Bamikole Omisore, confirmed this in a series of tweets.

He wrote: “Fight against corruption. Today, a bill for confiscation, forfeiture and management of proceeds of crime passed 2nd reading in @NGRSenate


“Recovered loot. @NGRSenate passed for 2nd reading Bill to provide for Reporting, Managing & Enforcing of Unclaimed funds.”
