Ebonyi Govt allegedly bans civil servants from using Facebook, Twitter (Document)


Ebonyi state government has banned civil servants from using Facebook, Twitter and other social media websites over “obnoxious comments” against the state government, according to a circular.

 The document was shared on Facebook by Chris Nnanna.

The circular signed by Dr Chamberlain Nwele, state Head of Service (HOS) said: ”These attitudes of some bad egss among civil/public servants in the State tantamount to biting the finger that feeds them and needs to be nipped in the bud as it is against the Public Service Rules (PSR) 030301.”

  1. for now - the ban may hold waters since we ve not started e-governance...Now >4billion ppl are online compared to 1b of 2003 7 3.4billion of 2015
