Man returning from US slumps, dies in presence of his wife on arrival at Lagos airport


A passenger on Emirates Airlines on Thursday slumped and died at the Lagos airport.


The deceased, Dada Isaac Olusola, with passport number A04501199, was said to have slumped on arrival at the checkpoint screening point where he was quickly attended to and given medication by Airport Clinical Personnel.

The passenger was accompanied by his wife and members of the Lions Club. His remains were been taken away by his wife to the Morgue at 18:00hrs. 

The passenger and wife arrived from USA. He was said to have died of cardiac arrest.

Medics, who monitored his condition, said at 16:18hrs the passenger slumped on arrival at the checkport screening point where he was later pronounced dead at 17:34hrs.

Meanwhile, Emirates is offering Nigerian travellers the opportunity to visit Dubai with a special Economy and Business Class return airfare that includes a  free third piece of luggage of up to 23 kg and a “My Emirates Pass”.

Under the special offer, an Economy Class ticket from Lagos to Dubai costs $875 for low season and $941 for high seasons, while Business Class goes for USD3827 for all seasons.

 The carrier stated that the fare offer is for a limited time only and tickets must be booked between July 13 and 26, 2017, while travel must take place between August 16 and November 30th 2017. The cost of the ticket includes airport taxes.
