VIDEO: CNN mocks Nigeria over Buhari’s continued absence in his country
American television news channel CNN has mocked Nigeria over President Muhammadu Buhari’s continuous stay in London for more than 2 months.
In an apparent mockery of Nigeria and its president, CNN host and Washington Post columnist Fareed Zakaria in his latest edition of ‘The Global Public Square (GPS)’ said: “In the more than 6 months since he took office President Trump could not have been more visible dominating headlines just about everyday. One country has had opposite problem in recent months, and it brings me to my question - The head of state from which country has not set foot in his homeland in over two months?”
He gave 4 options for viewers to pick from: “Saudi Arabia, Cuba, Nigeria and Syria”
He later went ahead to tick an option with the name Nigeria as the correct answer.
Mr. Buhari has been in London since May 7 on a medical follow-up. He entrusted his presidential powers to his deputy, Professor Yemi Osinbajo.
