Buhari may travel again for medical check-up – Presidency (VIDEO)
Just two days after President Muhammadu Buhari returned to Nigeria after spending more than three months in London seeking medical treatment, his spokesman, Femi Adesina, has revealed that he could travel back to the United Kingdom for further medical treatment.
Mr. Adesina said this while speaking on Monday morning’s Sunrise Daily program on Channels TV.
The spokesman was asked if Mr. Buhari could return to the UK for medical check-ups as the president had not addressed this in his speech he delivered after returning to Nigeria.
"Well, Alexa Pope the poet says hope beats eternal in the human breast. What Nigerians should hope for is that our president will remain whole,” he said.
“But if there is any reason to go out [to the UK], why not? You need to first stay alive so you can lead a country. So whatever it takes for our president to remain healthy would be done.”
Mr. Adesina expressed hope, however, that “the worst is over.”
