The Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti was on Sunday shut indefinitely following violent protest by students over the death of two of them.
The Registrar of the institution, Mrs. Sade Adediran announced the immediate and indefinite closure of the school.
The school was shut following the protest and destruction of valuable property by students.
Trouble began on the institution’s campus late Friday, when two of the students reportedly complained of malaria.
They were rushed to the Polytechnic Health Centre for treatment but their condition later became worse and died in the early hours of Saturday.
It was gathered that students of the institution protested over the death of the students in the institution healthcare center due to poor medical care from the workers.
The students accused the school managements of poor health facilities and not rendering quick service delivery.
All the vehicles coming along Ijan and Ado were stopped by the aggrieved students before the intervention of the Nigeria police force.
