Juventus goalkeeper Buffon throws his shorts into crowd after Barcelona match (PHOTOS, VIDEO)
Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon took off his shorts and threw it into the crowd after the club’s Champions League clash with Barcelona.
Following the midweek clash of the titans between Juve and Barcelona, Buffon did exactly that after keeping clean sheet and earning a valuable point.
As the full-time whistle sounded, Buffon headed over to a section of the home supporters to show his appreciation.
Wolf whistles soon began to erupt among the crowd as fans realised the legendary stopper had started to remove his playing shorts.
Reaching the advertisement boards separating the touchline from the stands, Buffon hauled his shorts to the crowd, into the hands of one happy supporter.
The 39-year-old then trotted off back to the tunnel in his Y-fronts, clapping the remaining fans in the Juventus Stadium as he went.
Buffon was in strong form in the clash, pulling off a string of top saves to keep Barca's mercurial ranks at bay.
The 0-0 stalemate means Juve remain second in Group D on eight points, three adrift of Barca.
In the group's other clash, Sporting Lisbon's demolition of Olympiacos sees them breathing down the neck of the Old Lady with seven points.
Buffon and Juve will face Olympiacos in the final game of the group, with victory needed to book their place in the last 16.
