Ronaldo sets another record as Madrid defeats Dortmund 3-2
There are now very few feats that Cristiano Ronaldo is yet to conquer. The Whites' hitman was on target with a superb strike in the victory over Borussia Dortmund to become the first player to have found the net in each matchday of the Champions League group stage.
The Portuguese striker opened this edition with two braces in his first two outings, before netting a goal in both meetings with Tottenham and he was again at the double in the side's trip to Nicosia. He then struck once more against Borussia at the Bernabéu to claim this historic feat.
Meanwhile, alongside this record he is also ends the group stage as the top scorer with nine goals to his name. This is the sixth edition in which he has topped the goalscoring charts, after having done so in 2009/10 (six), 2012/13 (six with Burak Yilmaz), 2013/14 (nine) and 2015/16 (11). In the 2007/08 campaign, during his time at Manchester United, he finished joint-top with Ibrahimovic, after netting five times.
300 wins with Real Madrid
As if this weren't enough, the win over Borussia also saw the Portuguese man make it 300 wins as a madridista.
Cristiano reaches yet another milestone in his ninth season as a Whites' player, having made 412 appearances. He has played 18 times so far in this campaign, notching 12 victories, while he is also the team's leading scorer, with twelve goals. His most impressive season in this regard came in 2011/12, when he triumphed in 43 of his 55 games.
