Mr Fireman is a prosperity preacher, who owns a fleet of yellow cars with personalized license plates, being flanked by an entourage, and essentially becoming a celebrity.

Seyi Rhodes, a British television presenter and investigative journalist of Nigerian descent, in 2011 made the documentary Nigeria’s Millionaire Preachers, which revealed a lot about the pastor.

Madame Noire did a research on the 10 things women find unattractive in men that they probably won’t tell them. This is in response to the article – 10 things men find unattractive in women.” Here’s the list:

1. Rough and Dusty Hair
Just like the fellas like to see our heads looking right, so do we women. Now I’m not particular about a specific style. Whether you’re rocking a Caesar, locs down to your booty (Ooo) or a high top fade, I don’t care but best believe that joint needs to be lookin’ right. Keeping your hair neat is very important to women. It’s hard to see a man’s fine factor if the hair on his head is lookin’ rough.

2. Ash
Brothas (and everyone in between) please keep that skin moisturized. You know how you like the softness of a woman’s skin? It’s no different for us. Of course we don’t expect you to be on our level but we also know that rubbing our skin against yours is not supposed to cause chaffing and irritation. This is a particular issue when it comes to the feet. I know quite a few men who just forgo the moisturizing process after they step out the shower. No baby, no! Ash is an equal opportunity ailment and you got to hit them heels just like we do.

3-Hygiene
You’ve probably begun to notice that a few things on this list refer to personal cleanliness. That’s not laziness on my part. I’m trying to break it down for y’all. For some reason, many men happily take a fukitol pill when it comes to hygiene. Yes you have to shower. No your feet shouldn’t smell like that. And please for the love of Gawd stop scratching yourself in public. Ugh!

4-Living in a Pig Sty
Ladies, has this ever happened to you? Baby boy takes you to his place and the second he opens the door you’re greeted by a rancid odor. Aight, maybe he hasn’t taken the garbage out, yet. You look past it. Then you get to his room and there’s a month’s worth of dirty clothes on the floor, including streaked drawers. Wompity Womp Womp! His drawers will be the only ones on the floor because yours just dried up like the Sahara.

5- Excessive Hair/ No Manscaping
I’m not opposed to a lil chest hair…not at all. But if your stuff is starting to rival Wolverine… time to take care of that. The same applies for your nether regions. Be considerate! Pubes have a tendency to hold odors. Tidy up before you have guests over.

6- No Hometraining
Some of us call this chivalry. There is nothing more disgusting than a man who lets you walk on the outside of the street and lets doors slam in your face whenever you walk into a place together. Get it together, quickly.

7- Thirstiness
You may have noticed this very same thing appeared on the men’s list as well. It certainly applies for women too. If I said no thanks, told you I liked women, or ran then I don’t want you! Sorry. Please leave me alone. And don’t call out my name. I was a beautiful woman two seconds ago now I’m a b*tch? Really, dude?

8. Pride

9. Selfishness

10. Lack of confidence/Not being proud of your woman in public.

These are 10 things men find unattractive in women but would probably not tell them, according to Madame Noire. Here is the list:

1.The thirst
The Thirst can be described as women who are overly eager to find a man. You can find these women at every open bar, every week in search of Mr. Right. We know you’re thirsty because the event is an after work event yet you found time to travel home to put on your freakum dress and 5 inch heels. Thirsty women are at the bar, visibly parched looking at the other women scoping out their competition with the “hawk eye”, giving the appearance of the mean chick. But she’s not mean at all, because #thethirst will turn her into chatty Cathy/ desperate Debbie and the desperation is unattractive.

2.Bad Hair
I’m not Chris Rock and I’m not here to preach about women with that “good hair”, you know… the ones with Indian in their family. Nope not this post. But can we talk about that funky smelling weave with the tracks showing because that’s not a good look. Or my natural sisters — who think dry and flaky is the new it do. We ain’t feeling you neither as Star from Star & Bucwild would say. Just do your hair, I’m not asking you to apply all types of chemicals, or pay Beyoncé money for a lace front. I just want you to look presentable for yourself not for me.

3.Unkept Private Areas
*Hums* “Sometimes I shave my legs sometimes I don’t’. That’s cool and all but I’m going to need you to shave under your arms because that hair brings funk. This brings me to your next private area — the vajayjay (I prefer the P word but this is a family friendly site). If you need a weedwacker down there, that’s a problem. (No one likes wolf punani.) I’m not asking you to get a Brazilian; those things are expensive and painful. But I need you to trim up a little. Give yourself an edge up so your privates resemble a well manicured lawn rather than a jungle safari in the middle of the Congo.

4.Angry for no damn reason
Some of y’all are taking this feminism thing too far — you’re lashing out at men every chance you get and we’re tired of it. #whohurtyou No but seriously, no one likes the angry woman, who’s always angry, never smiles and is extremely difficult to be around. It’s unattractive. Believe it or not, a lot of women have this angry friend if they’re not the angry one and that’s a turn off too. Yes, you are judged by the company you keep. We all meet up for drinks and you got the angry one with you, no one is going to have a good time. Leave her in the house commenting recklessly on blogs and if it’s you please just stay away. Thank you.

5.Clothes(Materialism)
No one expects women to be in the latest Oscar de la Renta dress like it’s fashion week every day but we want you to at least put yourself together. For starters, I’m not the most fit guy (I check athletic build if you must know) — So I don’t walk around with my shirt off too often. But every day on the train my eyes are visually assaulted because some women think that kangaroo pouch is what’s hot in the streets. IT’S NOT. Know your body type and dress accordingly. And what about the dingy types? That Bohemian look is cool and all but the white tank top that’s turning yellow, can’t say it does the trick my love. It’s not sexy. All in all women who can’t dress are not attractive. Before I see your mind, I see your outfit, let’s try to make one compliment the other.

6.Unkept feet and nails
Simply put, a mani/pedi is your friend. I don’t have to describe the “hammer time” in your shoes, nor do I have to remind you that biting your nails looks terrible. Chipped nail polish and ashy feet will not be flying either. Talk to the little Asian women and tip them well so you no longer scratch my legs in bed. Thanks.

7.Sense of Entitlement
Ladies have you ever hung out with one of your friends who feels the need to tell you, the men you’re hanging with and anyone within an earshot how she never has to pay for drinks. I always wonder, does she have any money to pay for the drinks she likes to gulp down? Or the women, who are eager to go out, even suggest it but they think the guy should pay for everything. Listen, chivalry is not dead but women who act as though they are entitled to a man’s wallet got to go. It’s unattractive and it’s downright classless. And listen I’m talking about the ladies who think it’s beneath them to stand on the lines at the club too. Are you famous, do you know the bouncer? If the answer is no, shut up and get to the back of the line, we don’t need the fuss.

8.Curses like a sailor
If I can’t bring you home to momma we can’t roll. I can’t stand a woman who every word out her mouth is n word this, n word that, mothereffer this, son of a —– that. Once again, have a cup of class and act like a lady not a garbage man.

9.Promiscuity
If your reputation for “getting it popin” enters the room before you do, that might not be a good look. You’re sleeping with every tom, dick and harry and that’s cool but don’t expect me to think it’s sexy.

10.Posture
This one is from the brothers on Twitter and I think I agree. No one wants a woman all slouched over looking sloppy. You can do it put your back into it. Peace and love ladies, I think you’re beautiful. I hope you enjoy your weekend and in no way was I trying to offend but a dose of keeping it real is always healthy.

11.Lies
12.Being Possessive or selfishness
13.Being too forward
14.Stubbornness
15.Mood

Two men have tied the knot in what’s been proclaimed Africa’s first traditional gay wedding.

Tshepo Cameron Modisane and Thoba Calvin Sithol were reportedly married in the town of KwaDukuza in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa before some 200 guests, in a ceremony that united Zulu and Tswana traditions. The newlyweds, both 27, will also have a second, more intimate ceremony in Johannesburg later this year, according to reports.

“The great step that we took in our relationship as a gay couple was introducing each other to our families,” Tshepo told Mamba Online in February. “We are so blessed to have supportive families who care about us. Even though we are gay they still love us.”

Alright my African Ladies, it is time to get real with our African fellows. After a conversation a couple of days ago with some of my African guy friends, I went home thinking: if I was to marry a white man, would that make me a traitor to my “color” or my African roots?

I find the need to write about this after several conversations about African women marrying white men. I wonder if it is time for some of the African men to get a reality grip. I mean, they can’t, and I mean, CANNOT understand why African women can possibly date, marry, or simply fall in love with anyone else but them. What puzzles me is that they truly look confused, and deeply offended by the idea of African women dating outside of the African circle, especially if said significant other is white- that simply puts them on edge.

Let me break it down a bit:

Guys have you ever heard of the little black book? Maybe you thought only guys have it. Well here is a surprise for you- African Women have that little black book full of numbers. And you have probably heard this : if you as a man are not man enough to step up to the plate and treat women the way in which they know they deserve to be treated, one can rest assured, there are other names in the “black book” as well as on speed dial.

That being said and done, African men are not just competing with their village fellows any longer, the world has become a global village. So while these African guys are fronting, trying to get a girl who will belong in the kitchen, and find you sleepers when you get home, the African women have a little black book with numbers that roll beyond the villages and the state boundaries. Therefore, if African men can’t get their acts together, taking African women for granted, then there are other races willing to treat the women in a manner that is becoming. (This off course applies to African Women too). This leads to my next point.

      2. You are not in your country any longer, and even in your own continent. Now women have a whole color scheme to pick from. If I was in Burundi, the chances of me marrying a Burundian, beautiful, dark skin man are higher than my being in this wide-world diaspora. Guys, this means you have MORE competition. So you have to adopt: Treat the women with respect, don’t take them for granted because they are African, and most importantly, women have their own careers and have their own plans that might not necessarily include you!

Need I say more on this point? Or should I mention this wonderfully well put together African man who decided that I was just what he needed and not even a week into the “dating” he had already “wifed” me (in his mind off course). So this week, he told me I was not allowed to travel home because I was a female and could not be safe during my journey, he wanted me to be asleep by 10pm (Ha!), and he was already planning how many children we were going to have, and what he wanted to see when he got home…Needless to say, I walked out of that conversation, and out of that situation never to look back.

Love is color blind. When you love someone, does it really matter what color their skin is? Trust me fellas, if J’something of Mi Casa -(hey a girl can dream)-turned out to be Mr. Right, I won’t think twice about not marrying him because he is not dark-skinned or Burundian. Let me put it this way, if I find a guy that is of another race/ethnicity, who loves me, and I love them, and we find common ground of making a lasting commitment, then I won’t think twice to marrying him.- Even better, my parents agree.

Don’t you love dark-skin? One of my friends asked. The answer to that is I LOVE dark skin- to not love dark-skin would be like not loving my own skin- which by the way I think is fabulous. But that doesn’t mean that I can’t love another skin color.

There is a greater argument that can be made about a certain lack of respect given to African women by African men- especially if they are career-oriented. There is also an argument to be made for gender equality and such; however, these are all deep-seated issues that require their own column. So in the meantime, African guys who are compelled to complain about African women being with white men should understand that if they don’t step up to the plate, and treat African women well, or love them accordingly- someone else will. Again, the horizons are wider, and the choices are endless.

But understand that African women do not choose to not be with African men. Do I want to be with an African guy- yes. But am I going to wait for one to show up- ah…Nope. African men are not entitled to African women and vice versa. It comes down to personal decisions and preferences. You love and are with the one who loves you, and if he/she turns out to be white…then more power to them. Everyone has the right to love whoever they want and who can treat them the way they want to be treated.

When she arrived, Issac’s brother was stationed to sit her in the back of an open Honda CRV and give her some headphones. He “wanted to play her a song”…

What she got instead was the world’s first Live Lip-Dub Proposal.

Pack it up, gentlemen. There’s no way you can compete with this marriage proposal. Isaac Lamb, a Portland actor, created one of the most elaborate ways imaginable to ask his girlfriend to marry him. It’s a stage performance that unfolds in real-time, as his fiancée-to-be rides in the back of an open SUV. He enlisted the help of 60 family members and friends to lip-sync and dance along to Bruno Mars’ “Marry You.” — a tightly choreographed effort that earned the praise of the crooner himself. And most importantly, it netted a yes from his girlfriend Amy. But really, how could she say no? We practically fell in love with Lamb just watching his performance.

The Commander- General of the board, Sheik Aminu Daurawa, told NAN in Kano on Thursday that the board had constituted a 30-member committee with representatives from women groups to screen prospective couples after the Eid-El Kabir celebrations.

“The board has already commenced preparation for the wedding as it has set up a committee to screen the couples.

“The wedding is expected to take place after the Eid-el-Kabir; that is why the committee is mandated to start the screening immediately.

“The committee is expected to screen and ensure that prospective husbands have a means of livelihood and above all, that they are healthy and fit to marry.”

“After the last wedding we received complaints with regards to the health conditions of some of the couples.

“So, this time around, we have taken measures to ensure that the couples are healthy and match each other.”

According to him, the board has entered into an agreement with the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital with a view to conducting free medical check on prospective couples.

NAN recalls that 250 widows and divorcees were joined under the second phase of the mass wedding last July.

According to People magazine, the couple walked down the aisle following a New Edition concert in Honolulu, Hawaii on Monday.

They first got engaged in 2010 when Brown popped the question to Etheredge during a sold-out New Edition show in Jacksonville, Florida.

Brown’s 19-year-old son, Bobby Jr., posted a Twitter photo of the wedding party, which included four young flower girls and 3-year-old ring bearer, Cassius, Brown and Etheredge’s only child together.

However, one face was noticeably absent from the festivities.

Bobbi Kristina Brown, Brown’s daughter with Houston, was not present at the wedding. As reports claim the pair have been on rocky terms, Bobbi Kristina was photographed in New York on Sunday filming scenes for her upcoming reality show, “The Houston Family Chronicles,” with beau Nick Gordon, who was informally adopted by Houston.

It started up as a pretty simple shoot that would have taken about a week or so, and ended up taking up to 5 months. I had to enlist my wife to help out with the outfits, as well as with searching the internet for all the little accessories. Anyway, I’m glad its now done, and glad I can get rid of the dolls…

I was beginning to get weird looks from my son whenever I came home with a barbie and he’s asking if it was for him or his baby sister.

I hope you like the shoot:

About Obi Nwokedi
My name is Obi Nwokedi, and I’m a London based photographer, who with my team, loves shooting weddings, fashion and portraits, however, we occasionally photograph other social events, concerts, and night life.

I’m afraid, I don’t have any emotional story about getting a camera as my 14th birthday present, or how my father was a photographer. I’m a regular IT analyst who a couple of years back, simply happened across some amazing photos online, and a passion was ignited. So after loads photography books, thousands of images shot, countless hours on photo forums, and several years later, here I am, using my God given talents to do what I simply love doing.

A woman has decided to marry a 107-year-old building. She already has a “civil union” with the building.

Babylonia Aivaz’s has been in love with the 107-year-old building, for years but she has to have a “quickie” wedding because demolition of the warehouse has already begun.

Babylonia says she hopes to save the abandoned building for a community center. The Occupy activist has to stand up to developer Seawest, which would rather use the space for a luxury apartment complex. Aivaz firmly opposes this act of gentrification, which she says would hit the poorer members of the neighborhood with increased rent.

“If corporations can have rights as people, so can buildings,” the “bride” told American Komonews, referencing a Supreme Court decision on political advertising. “I’m doing this to show the building how much I love it, how much I love community space and how much I love this neighborhood. And I want to stop it from gentrification.”

Aivaz says she fell head over heals with the building after joining a 200-strong Occupy Seattle protest inside the building last month.

“Yes, I’m in love with a 107-year-old building! Yes, it’s a gay marriage! How is that possible? Well there must obviously be a deeper story,” Aivaz wrote in her Facebook invitation to the wedding.

In December, Aivaz and 16 other activists “Occupied” the warehouse, believing this piece of heritage should be reclaimed as community space.
When demolition began this week, Aivaz put on her wedding dress and went to the site, climbing equipment to attract attention to her cause. Despite the cranes still towering gloomily at the spot, Aivaz says the ceremony is going to take place on Sunday at 1pm, with anyone willing invited to attend. And afterwards, the party can always carry on at an Occupy event planned for the evening.
